Steve James
Managing Director
Steve James has been associated with the air
conditioning and mechanical ventilation component of
building since 1971 in both contracting and consulting
roles. Steve’s extensive work experience in the areas of
design and project management encompasses everything
from resort complexes and shopping centres to suburban
residential buildings. |

George
Smith
Mechanical Engineer
George began his career as a mechanical
apprentice with an international motor component
manufacture back in 1979, as he gained qualifications
and experience he moved into the building services
sector where he has now worked for 17 years. He is
qualified as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with the
Institute of Mechanical Engineers and is a Registered
Professional Engineer in Australia, he has worked in a
variety of industries throughout the UK, a large
proportion being in airport terminals. During that
period he has exposed to both the commercial and retail
sectors, managing projects such as large building
management systems and energy conserving HVAC systems.
For the last year he has worked for a large government
organisation managing projects to aerodromes throughout
Australia.
George has extensive experience in the maintenance of
large commercial buildings, previously working within
and managing multi-disciplined maintenance teams
carrying out maintenance to the highest of standards. |

Praneeth Ariyaratne
Mechanical Engineer
A relative newcomer to James Design, Praneeth Ariyaratne
is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years
experience in building services and HVAC (Heating,
Ventilation and Air Conditioning). Praneeth has worked
on a variety of projects in the past decade including
residential apartment buildings, health care facilities
in Sri Lanka and the design finalisation of the cancer
research facility of the University of NSW. |

Adrian Diamond
Mechanical Design Drafter
Adrian Diamond is a qualified Mechanical Design Drafter
with over 10 years experience in the Building Services
Industry. With extensive work experience in various East
Coast locations, Adrian has taken part in projects
ranging from Hobart International Airport to Griffith
University. |

Lionel Ferris
Electrical Engineer
Lionel Ferris is a qualified electrical
engineer with experience in the Building services
industry dating from 1995. Lionel’s Specialties include HV
and LV power reticulation, switchboard design, lighting
and lighting protection, general power, communications,
data, fibre optics, electrical fire protection, security
systems and generator installations. |

Williams
Electrical Engineer
Shaun
Williams has been in the Building Services Industry
since 2005, after spending time in the IT Industry. In
this time, Shaun has gained experience in a variety of
commercial, retail and residential projects, covering
lighting, power reticulation, communications,
security/access control systems, CCTV and electrical
fire services design.. |

Bartek is a University
of Queensland graduate with six years engineering
experience in both Australia and overseas. Bartek has
worked on a variety of projects including major
commercial developments, shopping centres, retirement
communities, and industrial developments. |

Ron Godwin
Hydraulic Designer
A respected member of James Design for over 7 years, Ron
Godwin has been involved in the installation,
supervision and design of hydraulic services since 1974,
with extensive experience gained over a broad scope of
projects in various countries including Australia,
New
Zealand, Asia and the United Kingdom. |

Bart Paweloszek
Hydraulic
Engineer
Bart
Paweloszek is a qualified Civil Engineer specialising in
the field of hydraulic design. Bart has been involved in
hydraulic and fire services design for approximately 10
years and has been a member of the James Design team
since 2007. Bart has worked on a range of residential,
commercial and industrial projects of various sizes.
Most recently he has been involved in a number of
commercial and retail developments throughout Queensland
and has broadened his hydraulic design to include fire
sprinklers. |
